Porto's historical marginal would become richer with the valorization of this building in a prominent position. Facing the iconic São Francisco church and embedded in the city's remarkable core, this 03 front building needs a deep intervention to return to the consolidated urban mesh.
Keeping the traditional construction systems and respecting the frontage and the pre-existent structure, but reformulating the whole interior, the proposal consists in the definition of 23 accommodation units with unique characteristics that, through either height, the type of windows or the development in 02 floors, offer the tourist a palette of experiences. Complemented with common spaces characterized by varied ambiances - library, social area, living room, dining area - the intervention creates very diverse ways of living this place.
